Dig In Community


 The health of Oregonians depends on a healthy environment and a regular and real connection with nature. Dig In envisions an Oregon where all young people connect to nature, to each other, and to their community -- where restoration of natural systems is the result of student and community stewardship efforts, and where all students learn to be community leaders.



Dig In was founded in 2016 by four former SOLVE program leaders, determined to continue the Green Team program being eliminated by SOLVE. Inspired by our time in the field with students and teachers, and by the writings of Robert Louv author of  "Last Child in the Woods" we were able to carry on with support from some amazing funders, a stellar Steering Committee, and a non-profit fiscal agent, Cascade Pacific, who offered us a home in the nick of time. funders and community supporters
